PRADIP SARKAR


Pradip is a gifted artist and a recognized name in the Indian Contemporary art since 1995. He has done over 40 exhibitions in significant venues. Such as LALIT KALA ACADEMY - New Delhi and Bhubaneswar, JEHANGIR ART GALLERY- Mumbai, ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS- Kolkata, Exhibition with M. F. Hussain, PRINCE OF WALES MUSEUM - Mumbai, INDIAN ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS - Amritsar, WORLD TRADE CENTER - Mumbai and many more.

Recognition for Pradip started pouring in early in his carrier as an artist. He received certificate of merit and cash award by The Hindustan Times, New Delhi in 1995. He has been nominated under India best MSME award for individual contributors in the sector of visual arts in 2017 and 2018.

Pradip’s recent artworks focus on the spiritual and cultural aspects of Indian society. His paintings typically  reflect his philosophy of life, his learnings, music, harmony and his observations become the subjects of his canvases as he plays around with geometric boxed forms. 

Pradip's artworks palette is warm, inviting and vilifying. His brush strokes speak of serenity, soothing hues and a characteristic vibrancy that symbolize frenetic pace and multitude of life's elements.

His artworks are exhibited in various collections in Germany, USA and India. They have also found place in the collections of Lalit Kala Academy - New Delhi,  IIT - Dhanbad, The Hindustan Times - New Delhi,  INSCOL - Chandigarh,  Abhijeet Bhattacharjee, Anu Malik and Sharda - Bollywood personalities,  Lodha Costirea - Mumbai,  Anu Subramanian  - USA and many private collections in India and Abroad.
